31.5.22. !caution: contains petty rants. but i barely remember what the dream was about. i woke up crying. here's the article i mentioned (archived). my wisdom tooth ache, swollen like my attitude. in short: added Picrew page, edited the launch page (this) for better navigation, divided e0x0e0 into Home and Web.

28-5-22. long dream log alert: [1] [2] [3]. the best sandwich. it was so nice, almost like i paid enough attention to whatever's going on around me to realize that it's spring and decided to make a meal with all the seasonal flavors.

25-5-22. wasn't doing the best job but at least i don't look like a caveman anymore.

17-5-22. well, nothing noticeable, but a lot of small tweaks. you can't see it yet, but the afore mentioned carousel is now used for the Picrew page.

12-5-22. CSS carousel! added a lyrics page as a sandbox for pure CSS carousel, because I can. you can see the demo here edit: removed the demo, CSS carousel now used for Picrew page.

11-5-22. i boiled some eggs and root veggies, soaked some seaweed, these are all for instant ramen bc that's as much effort as i'm willing to put into a meal these days.

7-5-22. using the false morels (suomi: korvasieni) i picked in the forest the other day. yes, they're deadly poisonous, here is how to prepare them. i recently learned that autonomous custom HTML elements can be used without Javascript, after clicking around on al's website.

5-5-22. something about vehicles, finding road, getting lost. more like, i made a downdate and have life.html as the placeholder until i fix all of my nitpicks about the page. its the usual month starter.

4-5-22. i put life.html and my messy shrines on here. nothing looks right, at this point i'm just duct taping things together. i have so many nitpicks about this page and no time to fix them all. (7-5-22 update: nitpick collection, splitted because apparently chromium browsers have a 1024 character limit </3) [1 2] [3] [4].

4-5-22: if you want to do something everyday, you have to do it unconsciously.

3-5-22: stop creating new things. you've got too many underdeveloped ideas. stop chasing novelty, come back to old things and refine them.

27-2-22. just lately i went to The Pirate Bay and was greeted with a pop-up window with a picture of Putin as Hitler. it was the only instance where i was not annoyed by pop-up windows on a website. i watched Nina Paley's Seder-Masochism and sorted things out a little.

25-2-22. the world is at war again. i kept thinking about the war, not just this war, but The War.

What is

Neocities is a free website hosting service inspired by 90s Yahoo! Geocities. Here is an hommage to the "aesthetic" of Geocities homepages, and here is a Geocities research blog.

Although not all Neocities sites follow the Geocities style, many of them carry on the legacy of Geocities and the early Web such as districts, 88x31 buttons, frame layouts, virtual pets, guestbooks, and more.

Buttons

Buttons I collected from my Neocitizen neighbors. I don't have a button for e0x0e0 at the moment, partly because I'm lazy and partly because I don't think there's a lot to see here. Lol. This place is a huge WIP. But shoutout to some nice people who still included me in their Neocities mutual lists despite me not having a button.

Sadgrl.online points to a lot of webmaster resources & manifestos, and is generally a good place to start with Neocities.
