SHRINES

(Scroll to read)

When I first saw Sadgrl's t.A.T.u shrine, I had an idea to create a similar fannish shrine for any of my favorite musical artists, like Mitski, Son Lux, Leyland Kirby... etc. It turns out I was still terrible at web layout, and it's probably much easier to create a fannish shrine on a platform like Tumblr. I wasn't down for that, or for the simple y2k web template, I wanted to create something that specifically belongs to HTML/CSS but I barely got the time to figure it out, so I just forgot about the idea.

At the same time, there was a bunch of micro-pages I've created to my satisfaction, i.e html files full of fashion designs that I would study to design my OCs' clothing, or Picrews I've made... This Shrines section is a place to gather those micro-pages. Most of the things listed here weren't supposed to be a shrine, some of them have nowhere else to go. But they're all things that I really care about, so maybe they can be considered shrines. I guess I'm just trying to say that a "shrine" here will be whatever I think it is.

Avant-Garde Fashion Shrines

All images were fetched from Vogue Runway. These images are not licensed under CC0, I'm just sharing my personal thoughts on them and if you want to use them for personal purposes I hope you'll keep the credits too.

How to? Just scroll and hover. The images are in chronological order, I have a note to mark the beginning of each collection. Hover your mouse over any image to see notes about that image.

  • Comme Des Garcons shrine,
  • A fashion house founded by Rei Kawakubo.
  • Yohji Yamamoto shrine,
  • A fashion house founded by Yohji Yamamoto.
    Musick
  • Weapons.txt,
  • A list of musical observations in Son Lux songs and album. Son Lux is known (?) for putting easter eggs, especially the Weapons melody, in their songs, and I'm a sucker for patterns so I'm dedicated to find all of them. This note include any Weapons samples I manage to find, samples of their other songs, and some personal note on their musical structure.
  • Dance.html,
  • An xkcd-style dance floor. This shouldn't even be here, but guess who just learned about the ::before and ::after CSS selectors and decided to fuck with it. Nevertheless, it is more about dance than it is about musick.
